The following is an outline of The Salty Lens Co.'s Terms of Service and Terms & Conditions contract for photography services provided by Jenna Cavalancia ("Photographer"). By booking a session, the undersigned client ("Client") agrees to the general terms summarized below. 1. 📅 Booking, Contracts & Payments

  • A signed contract and non-refundable retainer are required to reserve any session or event.

  • Session sitting fee starts at $250; weddings and events start at $2,500.

  • Final pricing and package selections will be detailed in the customized contract.

  • Payment plans (if applicable) must be followed exactly or services may be canceled.

  • Full payment is due:

    • 30 days prior to the event/session date, or

    • Within 24 hours of booking if scheduled within 7 days.

  • Late payments may incur a 15% late fee or result in cancellation with forfeiture.

  • Card authorization is required for all payments and will include billing details and amounts.

2. 💳 Payment Plans & Authorizations

  • Available for events scheduled more than 4 months in advance.

  • Retainer: 35% due within 48 hours of contract signing.

  • Payment plans offered:

    • 3-Month: 4+ months out

    • 6-Month: 7+ months out

    • 9-Month: 10+ months out

  • Missed payments or failure to submit card authorization may result in cancellation.

3. 🎞️ Image Delivery & Editing

  • Final images are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs only.

  • RAW files will not be released under any circumstances.

  • General turnaround time:

    • Portrait sessions: 6–10 weeks

    • Weddings/Events: 10–16 weeks

  • Images are edited at the Photographer’s sole artistic discretion. Re-edits are not included.

4. 🖼️ Image Use, Copyright, & Licensing

  • The Photographer retains full copyright ownership of all images.

  • Client receives a personal-use license only:

    • ✅ Share with friends/family

    • ✅ Post on social media (credit @TheSaltyLensCo required)

    • ✅ Print for personal display

    • ❌ No commercial, resale, branding, influencer, or vendor use without a separate license

  • Editing or altering images—including filters, cropping, AI tools—is prohibited.

5. 📦 Print Packages, Downloads, & Third-Party Printing

  • Digital files are optimized for up to 8x10 printing.

  • Larger sizes may require upgraded resolution or license.

  • Available packages:

    • Basic: 25 images + 8x10 print

    • Intermediate: 40 images + print box + $50 credit

    • Advanced: 60 images + fine art album + $75 credit

    • Full Gallery: All high-res JPEGs

  • Pre-purchase discounts: 10% off. All package sales are final.

  • The Photographer is not responsible for quality issues from third-party printers.

6. ⏰ Session Timing, Overtime & No-Shows

  • Arrive on time. Clients more than 15 minutes late may be marked as a no-show.

  • Standard session overtime: $150 per 30 mins.

  • Wedding/Event overtime: $250 per 30 mins, with a 2-hour minimum.

  • Overtime is subject to availability and billed post-session.

7. 📸 Conduct, Behavior & Termination

  • Disrespectful, hostile, or unsafe conduct will result in immediate session termination with no refund.

  • The Client is responsible for the behavior of all participants and guests.

  • The Photographer is not liable for dissatisfaction due to Client-provided wardrobe, props, or uncooperative behavior.

8. ⚖️ Limitations of Liability

The Photographer is not responsible for:

  • Missed moments due to weather, lateness, venue restrictions, or interference

  • Equipment failure, natural disasters, or acts of God

  • File loss or corruption; liability limited to total amount paid minus retainers

9. 🔁 Rescheduling & Cancellations

  • Cancellations: All payments are non-refundable.

  • Rescheduling:

    • Must be requested ≥48 hours before the session

    • Late/multiple changes: $250+ per change

    • Peak dates may require updated pricing

    • Weather/emergency exceptions are at Photographer’s discretion

10. 💍 Wedding & Event Addendum

  • Pre-event consultation required (phone/video/in-person).

  • Timeline due 4 weeks before the event. Changes must be submitted in writing.

  • Client must assign 1–2 point-of-contact assistants for group shots and coordination.

  • Meals required for events over 4 hours.

  • Travel beyond 1 hour from Columbus, OH: $50 per 75 miles and other expenses billed separately.

  • Final gallery delivered 10–16 weeks post-event.

  • Overtime invoices due within 24 hours; images withheld until paid in full.

11. 🔒 Data Privacy & Confidentiality

  • Personal data, communications, and payment information are kept secure and confidential.

  • The Salty Lens Co. does not sell or share your data.

12. 🧾 Contract Modifications

  • Terms are subject to change. Updates will be communicated in writing.

  • If the Client declines new terms, it will be considered a cancellation with no refund.

13. 🚨 Force Majeure & Substitution

  • In cases of illness, emergencies, or acts of God, The Salty Lens Co. will attempt to reschedule or provide a qualified substitute.

  • Refunds for force majeure are not guaranteed and exclude retainers or completed work.

14. 📢 Social Media & Promotion

  • Clients posting images online must:

    • Tag @TheSaltyLensCo

    • Not edit or alter images

  • The Photographer may use images for portfolio, website, or social promotion unless the Client requests otherwise in writing prior to delivery.

15. 🧑‍⚖️ Dispute Resolution & Non-Disparagement

  • Client agrees to attempt resolution with the Photographer directly before posting public reviews or disputes.

  • Defamatory or false public commentary may result in legal action or a ban from future services.

16. ✅ Acknowledgment & Signature

By booking, paying, or signing this agreement, the Client confirms they:

  • Are at least 18 years old and legally authorized

  • Understand all outlined policies

  • Accept responsibility for all participants

  • Waive liability for injury or dissatisfaction outside the Photographer’s control

  • Agree to all payment, cancellation, copyright, and image use policies
